A round of applause for the newest member to join VYNCKE’s Supervisory Board: Jürgen Ingels!
Jürgen Ingels (°1971), a renowned Belgian entrepreneur and venture capitalist, has joined the Supervisory Board of VYNCKE Clean Energy Technology on 15 June 2024.
He studied political and social sciences at the University of Antwerp, later obtained an MBA and started his career as an investment manager at Dexia Ventures. He was the founder of Clear2Pay, a leading payment technology company, which he sold in 2014.
Currently, Jürgen is managing partner of SmartFin, a venture capital fund that invests in European technology companies. He is a director at several companies such as WDP (Euronext/BEL20), Materialise (NASDAQ), Ghelamco, Projective, Guardsquare, Deliverect, MariaDB (FIN), Itineris, Akinon (TUR), and Recharge.com (NL).
But that’s not all! Jürgen is also the driving force behind technology festival SuperNova, and ‘the Human Quest’, the largest space expo in Europe, which attracted over 80.000 people in 2023. He has a great passion for technology and entrepreneurship, which is reflected in everything he does.
Jürgen’s entrepreneurial journey has had its share of challenges and successes, making his insights invaluable for both aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs. In his book, “50 Lessons for Entrepreneurs”, he shares practical tips on how to take your business to the next level. Through his experiences and lessons learned, he aims to inspire others, including the Vynckeneers.
Jürgen will succeed Rik Vanpeteghem in his role, but this is not a farewell to Rik as he will continue his valuable contributions on the board of Vyncke – A Family of Companies.
